Ice pie, beware, A turkish barber cannot do a Mullet hair cut, They are not skilled in using scissors or hair dryers but, they are skilled with razors , clippers and they do beard trimming, nostril trimming too and, if you want something for the weekend, they will help with that as well,

There are three within five minutes walk of my house, on Wigan Lane there's three within a minuets walk of each other, every row of shops seems to have one, town centre's awash with barbers. Surely they can't all be profitable.

its a case of, empty shops and who can use them, a barber will always be needed because, you cannot get a haircut on line, There will always be work but like a taxi driver, there is always waiting time between jobs and then work comes quick and fast at weekends, ' famine and feast' jobs,

We've never been able to get a haircut on line but up to ten or so years ago there were only 3 or 4 barbers in the town centre, and a few out in the sticks, now they're everywhere, what's changed? are we having more haircuts?

Actually, most aren't Turkesh but Kurdish or other ethnicity. I always went to a ladies hairdressers because I have longish hair but last 3 times I've been to a 'Turkish' border in Pem and very happy with the result and the cost.

Something happened just after Christmas in January, and after walking up Wallgate and then around into Market Street, and I was thinking about this very subject, about how there was a lot of Turkish barbers in Wigan, and at the top end on Market Street I observed yet another Turkish barber, and I turned and carried on walking along Market Street, and the hoarding in place because of the demolition of the Galleries, funnels pedestrians into a narrow corridor on Market Street and it was busy with people and it was around lunchtime, and from the old Crofters Pub to the bottom entrance into the bus station, there was not one white face, now I know that is a racist comment, but nevertheless it is a true comment, am I wrong in noticing this, am I doing something wrong in mentioning it ?

I’ve never had a Turkish shave. Or a Turkish haircut. But I’ve had a Thai massage.
I’ve had a Belgian massage once. No different, except the girl doing the massage was a lot heavier and she had hairy armpits!

For the last three times I have been to the Turkish barbers in Market St near the New Chippery,in and out in no time and they did a good job.My usual barber in Atherton gave me the impression she could not be bothered with OAP’s and last time I went she told me I had to make an appointment and come back even though there was no one in.
